iPad Pro vs Galaxy Tab S Pro: Samsung Developing iPad Pro Competition? Specs & Details Here

Samsung is among Apple's great competitor in the business. The competition will even be closer with the speculations that Samsung's next flagship tablet is designed to match the performance and sleekness of Apple's iPad Pro.

Tech Radar reports that the next Samsung tablet will be thinner than the iPad Air 2, which measures 6.1 mm from front to back, so it will possibly measure 6.0 mm or 3.0 mm.

On July 3, Samsung filed to trademark the name, "Galaxy Tab S Pro" for their tablet so other companies will not be able to use it for their devices, Tech Times reports. The said move by Samsung sparks the speculations that they will soon be releasing the said gadget, although no details about its specs and features have been released yet. Tech Times has learned that "Galaxy Tab S Pro" was first mentioned by Samsung in January for a changelog referring to Milk Music App, and it was never associated to a tablet. If there was a tablet, it was not mentioned until now.

The unheard tablet remains mysterious, and there is no news whether Samsung will introduce it or not. As Android Authority puts it, "manufacturers often file for trademarks and end up not launching the product. It's more of a precautionary chore, in some cases."

The same report revealed that despite the continuous talks about Galaxy Tab S2, the Galaxy Tab S Pro can be the successor of the Galaxy Tab S since it has been over a year since the series' last update. The rumors are considering that Galaxy Tab S2 and the newly trademark name could be referring to the same handset, this we could not tell.

However, despite being unknown, users have different expectations from Galaxy Tab S Pro. According to Tech Times, there are also rumors that Apple will be releasing a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and will be targeting the educational sector.

Since Samsung just registered the name Galaxy Tab S Pro, users are expecting that it will come with a 12-inch screen or wider. Some were a bit reserve, they believe it will only be a little wider than its predecessor, the original Galaxy Tab S that comes in two sizes, 8.4 and 10.5 inches. Among the anticipated specs is its Super AMOLED screen.

According to another Tech Times report, users are expecting two Galaxy Tab S2 models, namely Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. The numbers in both models refer to its screen size, which means that the next Galaxy Tab S2 can come with either an 8.0-inch or a 9.7-inch screen. It is also hinted that it will be equipped with an Exynos 7420 chip, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and 3580 to 5870 mAh batteries.

Whether Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy Tab S Pro are the same or completely different devices, it cannot be confirmed until Samsung clear the details. Many expected Samsung to release Galaxy Tab S2 in June, but they already missed it. No one can tell when the release will be, and until then, these ideas will remain as speculations.
