OnePlus 3T To Launch In December With Snapdragon 821, Android 7.0 Nougat?

OnePlus is reportedly working on a new flagship after its success with OnePlus 2 smartphone. OnePlus 3 is the most anticipated smartphone with rumors bubbling up that OnePlus 3 will be called as OnePlus 3 Plus or OnePlus 3s. However, OnePlus designer has suggested that OnePlus' new flagship will be known as OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus designer posted it on Weibo, a Chinese social network, that OnePlus 3 will be known as OnePlus 3T. Although, there are no official comments on OnePlus 3s or OnePlus 3T production by the company. Meanwhile, it is also said that OnePlus 3 will run on Android Nougat 7.0 by the year end.

OnePlus is expected to release one flagship device every year as it said in the past. But according to GizmoChina report, OnePlus Company is facing a shortage in supply of AMOLED displays thus it is not able to fulfill OnePlus 3 orders. It is also reported that the new OnePlus flagship might feature an LCD panel display instead.

Though rumors on the type of display are bubbling in the media, they can be ignored because recently, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei took it to Twitter to ensure the new OnePlus flagship will have Optic AMOLED displays. He wrote: "OnePlus will be staying with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future."

Expected specifications: OnePlus 3s or OnePlus 3T will run on Oxygen OS based on the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, equipped with Snapdragon 820 processor in favor of the new Snapdragon 821 SoC, per the Indian Express.

Previously, OnePlus 3 was launched on June 14 via the global Loop VR. The device came with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with an Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB. It was sold in the U.S. for $399 and Canada for $519.

The latest OnePlus 3s or OnePlus 3T is expected to unveil in few weeks, probably during the Christmas time. Stay tuned for more updates and news.
