Laverne Cox will be one of the two celebrities who will face-off on Spike's "Lip Sync Battle." A sneak peek from "Lip Sync Battle" came out and Laverne Cox just simply knows how to slay.
The "Lip Sync Battle" sneak peek showed Laverne Cox lip syncing to "Roman's Revenge" by Nicki Minaj. The 32-year-old actress had no trouble keeping up with the rap and in fact, did it with so much character.
Laverne Cox is up against her "Orange Is The New Black" co-star Samira Wiley. Wiley is reported to perform "O.P.P." by Naughty By Nature according to Daily Mail. A sneak peek of Samira Wiley's performance is also available on "Lip Sync Battle's" Youtube Channel.
Topping her performance is her sexy costume. Laverne Cox wore a semi-sheer criss-cross top with black pants for her "Lip Sync Battle" performance.
But what awed everyone was not just her timing and sexy look, it was also Laverne Cox' high kick that made everyone cheer for her. Even "Lip Sync Battle" co-host Chrissy Teigen was definitely impressed.
"Lip Sync Battle" may not be the only place where Laverne Cox slew. She has also appeared in "Rocky Horror Picture Show" live remake from Fox as reported by Entertainment Tonight. The actress played Dr. Frank-N-Furter where she showcased her singing voice.
"Lip Sync Battle" is a show wherein two celebrities will be facing off by lip syncing any song they like. Only they know what song will come and play for them.
The "battle" consists of two rounds where each one has to show off a little bit on the first round. However, the second round of "Lip Sync Battle" allows each contestant to go all out with choreography, costume, backup dancers and even props.
A few stars have already made their mark on "Lip Sync Battle" including Anne Hathaway who performed "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. This has been one of the most memorable performances of the show as the Oscar-award winning actress swayed on a giant wrecking ball across the stage.
Apart from that, Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum faced off. Channing Tatum dressed up as Beyonce and even had the singer upstaged as he performed "Single Ladies."
On the other hand, Jenna Dewan-Tatum mimicked a "Magic Mike" dance from her husband.
