NBA News: Golden State Warriors Expected To Bounce Back From Crushing Loss To The San Antonio Spurs

After losing 129-100 to the San Antonio Sprus, many people believe that the rest of the season is going to be along the same lines for Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors. However, Durant and the Warriors have a chance to recover from that crushing opening-night loss based on their forthcoming games.

The Warriors were expected to cruise to a win in their first game of the season against the Spurs, but it turned out to be the other way around. Durant and the rest of the Warriors ended up losing by a huge margin of 29 points.

Durant was a bright spot for the Warriors in the game having scored a team-high 27 points with 10 rebounds. Despite Durant's outstanding performance, fans and analysts alike are now pondering if the Warriors' move to sign Durant in free agency was a mistake.

Steve Kerr told ESPN that the loss was not about Durant nor any particular player. Kerr says it was about the Warriors as a whole. The Warriors' head coach took responsibility for the defeat stating he was not able to "have them ready to play."

According to a report by Inquisitr, Durant and the Warriors are capable of turning things around based on their upcoming schedule. The Warriors will be playing three consecutive games on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, and Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors are expected to win the aforementioned games even on the road.

The Pelicans have one of the best centers in the league in Anthony Davis. Davis will prove to be a challenge for the Warriors' defense, but the Warriors have more talent than the Pelicans overall. The two teams will square off at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Friday.

The Suns' new head coach, Earl Watson may need more time to allow his players to build chemistry as there are a lot of scattered talent on the Suns' roster. They will play the Warriors at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Sunday.

The Warriors' game against the Trail Blazers may be a bit tougher considering the presence of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum facing off against Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. However Durant and Draymond Green should be able to attack the Trailblazers' front court. The game will take place at the Moda Center in Portland on Tuesday.

Things should heat up next Thursday night as Durant and the Warriors face Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fans speculate that Westbrook will go after Durant who is his former teammate.
