"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was one of the most anticipated movies of 2016, making it a huge box-office success worldwide. However one of the most talked about scene in this Warner Bros. film does not involve Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent. Instead, the cameo appearance of Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) definitely made an impact on the audience and everyone wants to see more of her.
Fortunately, the brief appearance of "Wonder Woman" in "Batman v Superman" is actually a teaser for a full-length movie that will feature the lady heroine. The cast and crew started filming back in Nov 2015 and were able finish the production last May.
Then finally, the public got a first sneak peak of the "Wonder Woman" movie during the San Diego Comic-Con. According to a review published in Screen Rant, the short trailer released a year before the cinema screening schedule of "Wonder Woman" got the audience really excited about the new movie based on a DC Comics character.
The latest buzz is that Warner Bros. will soon release a second official trailer as posted in Cinema Blend. If speculations are true, the new trailer for "Wonder Woman" will be released alongside the premiere of "Doctor Strange" which is set to hit the theaters on Nov 4. The Cinema Blend article though said that the actual trailer release may be a day or two earlier than that.
Hopefully, this time the viewers will learn more about the Amazon princess named Diana who will become "Wonder Woman." Based on the trailer, viewers be taken back 100 years in time when "Wonder Woman" is still the naive Amazon princess.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, the cast led by Gal Gadot also includes Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, and Lucy Davis. The next superhero movie based on a DC Comics character, "Wonder Woman" will be released worldwide in June 2017.
