Manny Pacquiao Sylvester Stallone Pose for A Photo to Make Things 'Official'; 'Rocky' Star Visits the Boxing Champ Pacman
With barely a week remaining before his battle with WBO Welterweight king Jessie Vargas, challenger and future Boxing Hall of Famer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao gets a surprise visit from actor/action star Sylvester Stallone. The boxing champ Pacman was visited by the "Rocky" star during training at the Wild Card Gym and the two posed for a picture to make things "official."
The boxing champ Pacman admits being thrilled by the visit since Stallone is an inspiration to the 38-year-old pugilist from General Santos, Philippines. The Pacman who is considered by many to be a real-life "Rocky" (after Stallone's reel-life character) also fought his way to the top until he was given a break when he first fought here in the United States. In that fight, Pacquiao proved that he had what it took to run with the "big boys" of that time like Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera.
Captioning the photo he posted: “Great to have @officialslystallone at Wild Card watching me spar.” The boxing champ Pacman is visibly delighted to be visited by “Rocky” legend Sylvester Stallone.
Meanwhile, the "Rocky" star took to Instagram that the boxing champ Pacman is one of the best boxers He is one of Pacman's biggest fans.
Coming into the fight with a 58-6-2 record with 38 of those wins coming via knockout, Pacquiao seeks to add a 9th division to his already unprecedented 8 division world titles. He also seeks to become the first 3-time WBO World Champion at the expense of Vargas who brings his 27-1, 10KO’s with him come Saturday when they collide for the first time in a high-stakes welterweight bout at the Thomas & Mack Center in Vegas.
