Ronda Rousey on ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’: Former UFC Champ Hinted Retirement Plans After Upcoming Fight Against Nunes UFC 207

During her interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, former UFC champ Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey hinted that this may be one of her last fights, referring to her upcoming bout with Amanda Nunes on UFC 207. Both women will be matched against each other for the bantamweight title on Dec. 30, 2016.

Ronda Rousey met her first defeat almost a year ago, Nov. 14, 2015, against Holly Holm on UFC 193 via total knockout on the second round. With an almost undefeated record, her signature move, the submission (armbar), won her titles, beginning with Miesha Tate. Ronda Rousey dislocated Tate's elbow to win the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion.

But the former UFC champ isn't just all MMA. She was also the first US woman to win an Olympic medal in judo in Beijing at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Now, former UFC champ Ronda Rousey challenged Amanda Nunes for the women's bantamweight title. Meanwhile, UFC President Dana White reported that the fight's announcement broke Twitter. Rousey versus Nunes led to one of the most retweeted tweets in UFC history. When fans heard that the former UFC champ Ronda Rousey is returning to the Octagon, it got 489 million impressions on Twitter.

According to Yahoo Sports, UFC President White predicted that whenever former UFC champ Ronda Rousey would return for a bout, it would be a huge event for the Octagon. White also said that Ronda Rousey will be the biggest PPV in UFC history, and it will be a record-breaker for quite some time.

As the former UFC champ hinted on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," every UFC fan must watch because the show isn't going to be around forever. Currently, both Gokor Chivichyan of the Hayastan MMA Academy and Edmond Tarverdyan of the Glendale Fighting Club are preparing Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey for her upcoming bout against Amanda Nunes.
