Android 7.0 Nougat is the most updated version of Android. All new smartphones and tablets are working to have the latest Android version the soonest possible time. It is, however, unfortunate that Google Nexus 6P users have reported battery failure after upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to Digit, some Nexus 6P users are reporting random battery failure after upgrading the device to Android 7.0 Nougat. Both Google and Huawei haven't recognized and acknowledged the said complaint as it may be triggered by the software.
A certain Youtube user even posted a video of Nexus 6P having battery level at 53 percent. A 53 percent battery level should have given the Nexus 6P device around two or three more hours of power. It is unfortunate that the Nexus 6P device turned off by only the user clicking on to three pictures.
There are also reports that battery drain is experienced at different power percentage. The various users of Nexus 6P also have reported random shutdown on the device. The Nexus 6P on Android 7.0 Nougat also can't be turned on unless it is charging.
The Google Nexus range of phones was the first to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. It was also reported that Android 7.0 Nougat on the Nexus phones has not been stable and completely reliable.
There are also reports onLG made Google Nexus 5X phones having the same issues as Nexus 6P. There are still no other updates on other devices on Android 7.0 Nougat.
As added by Indian Express, Google started to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update back in August. Reports on the battery failure recently started. Most reports on battery failure on Nexus 6P device became public few weeks ago.
There is also a Reddit user named Vanterax sharing the same experience. The Reddit user reported that his Nexus 6P device dropped from 96 percent to 73 percent in just a few seconds.
Google has yet to release official word on this issue. Many reports from Nexus 6P users on Android 7.0 Nougat are most likely documented by Google to get to the bottom of the problem.
