The creator of the "American Horror Story: Roanoke" Ryan Murphy recently tweeted that Sarah Paulson's character from "AHS: Asylum," Lana Winters, will return this season. Murphy made the announcement on Halloween night, giving fans of "AHS" more reason to be excited for the latest season.
In the latest season, It was explained how the Motts family began and we were given hints of connection between the two previous seasons "AHS: Freak Show" and "AHS: Asylum." Ryan Murphy wants "American Horror Story: Roanoke" to have that eerie feel like that of the "The Twilight Zone" where it gets weirder and weirder by the minute.
The actress is already playing the British actress Audrey Tindall in "American Horror Story: Roanoke" that is currently in danger of getting eaten by cannibals. To make it more confusing, the actress is also playing another character on the show. Sarah Paulson will play Lana Winters who is a character during the second season of "American Horror Story."
Lana Winters was an investigative journalist reporting on the hostile conditions of the Asylum. She initially pretended to be a patient at the Briarcliff Manor but was eventually imprisoned in the Asylum. Lana Winters escaped with blood on her hands after killing the doctor who raped her and shutting down the ominous asylum. She then encountered his fully grown man at the last minute. What could be the connection between the previous Lana Winters and the current "American Horror Story: Roanoke" season?
Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy revealed during the EW Popfest that the future installment of "American Horror Story" after "American Horror Story: Roanoke" will be a bizarre crossover of "AHS: Murder House" and "AHS: Coven" where characters from specific seasons will appear and will come together.
However, there are signs showing that there might be some struggle with the characters from "Murder House." Connie Britton and Dylan Dermott are committed for another season in a different show although Ryan Murphy said that he already started going to actors from both seasons quietly.
