Scott Cawthon posted his thoughts on Steam, about the "FNAF" fanbase being toxic. Based on the "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator's post, some complain whenever he bans someone for criticizing the fanbase.
According to Scott Cawthon, it is an "unfair generalization" to call "FNAF" fanbase toxic. He added that every fanbase has its "toxic" side due to a variety of audience that has different opinions and maturity.
Scott Cawthon pointed out that there will always be individuals that one will find irritating, regardless if he is part of a fanbase or not. In this case, it's not the fault of the fanbase but of the individual. The "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" genius admits that all is guilty, including him.
Although Scott Cawthon is banning some critics, the "FNAF" developer stressed that he will keep people who make honest criticism of the fanbase. He believes that they are just misguided.
