"American Crime Story" Season 3 is expected to cast Lady Gaga as Donatella Versace. Gaga is set to portray a fashion designer in the series. Additionally, the "Poker Face" singer is friends with the real Donatella Versace in real life.
"American Crime Story" Season 3 is said to follow the story of Gianni Versace who was shot dead by a serial killer Andrew Cunanan in July 1997. Cunanan murdered five people before killing Gianni. He then committed suicide eight days after targeting Gianni and used the same gun to kill himself which is expected to be further discussed on "American Crime Story."
"American Crime Story" Season 3 will see Gaga portray Gianni's fashion designer sister Donatella. Donatella took over Gianni's fashion company after his brother's tragic death. Reports claimed that the "Bad Romance" singer is actually a close friend of the real Donatella and the two even walked the red carpet together in May 2016's Met Gala, Rolling Stone reported.
Gaga's inclusion in "American Crime Story's" take on Versace/Cunanan case paved the way for her reunion with Executive Producer Ryan Murphy. It can be recalled that Murphy and the "Just Dance" singer already worked together on American Horror Story: Hotel before "American Crime Story." Gaga's performance in the said series even earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series.
Meanwhile, Gaga's song "Million Reasons" gets an unplugged cover by a popular country singer Kelsea Ballerini, Billboard reported. The song "Million Reasons" is a collaboration of Gaga and the veteran country songwriter Hillary Lindsey. In an Instagram post of Ballerini, she mentioned Lindsey and bowed down to the artist for writing the best songs.
