'Fifty Shades' News Update: Jamie Dornan Thinks Ian Somerhalder Would Do A Great Job In Replacing Him As Christian Grey

Jamie Dornan made the headlines after news broke out that he will no longer reprise his roles for the future sequels of "Fifty Shades." As the speculations continually trend, the "Fifty Shades" actor took his time to clear things out as he debunked the rumors.

Ian Somerhalder was dragged into the headlines after news broke out that he was tasked to replace Jamie Dornan on "Fifty Shades." The rumors started just a little after the "Fifty Shades" darker teaser was released. It was mentioned that Jami Dornan's wife, Amelia Warner, wanted him to discontinue future projects as that of "50 Shades" as it leaves her feeling uncomfortable due to the explicit sex scenes.

During his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Jami Dornan opened up about his "Fifty Shades" role in a humorous way. As he admittedly stated that he's busy with promoting "The Fall," he then explained the difference and the diversity between the two films.

"There's a sort of energy in the eyes of a Fifty Shades fan that the fans of The Fall just don't possess. It's like a hunger, and you can sort of see it and smell it," he said. "If it's in a pack, it's terrifying."

When Jamie Dornan was asked about Ian Somerhalder's role to replace him for the future "Fifty Shades" films, he stated that he doesn't know anything about the circulating rumors. Jamie Dornan then added that it would be an expensive error for the producers to do so as they've already started with two "Fifty Shades" Sequel. E! then confirmed that "Fifty Shades Darker would hit the big screen on February 10, 2017, and "Fifty Shades Freed" on February 9, 2018.

"Do you know anything about that? Is that true? No," Dornan stated. "I don't know. That would be really hard for them to do, considering we shot both of the movies," the actor added. "That's an expensive mistake, I'll put it that way. But good luck to him he'll be great!"
