Sony PS4 Pro Brings Forth Unprecedented Advance In Gaming Console Graphics

Inspired to perhaps bring an end once and for all to the great hardcore gaming battle between frame rate and resolution, Sony incorporated its host of new advances into the new PS4 Pro's frame. Now with resolution outputs of 1080p to 1440p for the HD variant and a native resolution at 2160p (4K) enabled, the Sony PS4 Pro comes ever closer to make the most realistic gaming software exceed its hardware limits.

With the PS4 Pro, Sony aims to help resolve the frame rate versus resolution debate by offering three possible adjustments to a player's gaming experience. These adjustments offer a dynamic gaming experience by letting the player decide which among their current settings will be tweaked in order to optimize their game: frame rate or level of detail.

With its dynamic setting, players can now experience a sort of mid-way between a stable frame rate and a smoother level of detail or opt to boost one against the other and get the best results with either setting. Tracking the frames per second (FPS) and adjusting it to the resolution density have been problems for a while, but the PS4 Pro cuts through the noise and helps players focus more on the game with its integrated settings. Its massive rendering capabilities have improved significantly, now with at least 4.80 teraflops of processing speed compared to just 1.84 teraflops on the base PS4 model. Its host of visual improvements boast of greater draw distances, an enhanced depth of field integration, built-in anti-aliasing, and deeper shadows against more a more vivid background texture.

Claiming to currently be the world's most powerful console, the PS4 Pro is reported by Polygon to be at least twice as powerful as its predecessor. Its processing power is due to its upgraded GPU, a boosted clock rate, and a larger HDD to hold native 4K games. Even its wireless capabilities are enhanced, with a built-in switch for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. The downside to the latter is that you'd need to place your router much closer to the PS4 Pro, as 5 GHz channels work with a more limited range.

Ever since 4K HDR screens have been introduced to the video market, more and more gaming developers have pushed toward making it the new standard, even for consoles. What was previously only available through powerful desktops can now be configured and played natively on a huge screen with the PS4 Pro's intense visual rendering. Even VR game developers are catching up on the 4K craze, with the Chinese company PIMAX already selling a UHD gear, according to a report by VRWorld.

Giving the 4K gaming a shot isn't bad at all, and the Sony PS4 Pro helps augment the need for a solid gaming console that utilizes 4K screens. Watch this video by Sony PS4 Pro's tech chief and understand more about its power.
