Fans of "Fifty Shades" should expect more of the upcoming "Fifty Shades Darker" movie as it is set to be steamier than the "Fifty Shades of Grey." It has just been rated as R by MPAA due to its "strong erotic content, some graphic nudity, and language."
The first film, "Fifty Shades of Grey" has also received an R rating, but fans expect more erotic scenes, especially since the "Fifty Shades of Grey" has already set the standard of the other upcoming sequels.
The main cast Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will still portray the celebrated role of being Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey, respectively. In the third film, "Fifty Shades Freed," the duo will still play their respective roles.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is scheduled to be released on Feb. 10, 2017, while "Fifty Shades Freed" is expected to be out for 2018's Valentine's Day. Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca and E L James will still be the producers.
It is expected that "Fifty Shades Darker" will deliver what "Fifty Shades of Grey" has achieved. The first film gained more than $570 million from worldwide sales due to its discreetly naughty scenes.
"Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house," the novel reads.
"But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades."
"Fifty Shades Darker" also stars Luke Grimes, Eric Johnson, Bella Heathcote, Max Martini, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora, Tyler Hoechlin, Robin Lee, Marcia Gay Harden, Hugh Dancy and Fay Masterson. "Fifty Shades" director James Foley continued to direct "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed."
