"Vikings" Season 4 part 2 looks all set for its premiere at the end of this month. But before that, the hit History drama series is welcoming a new cast member.
Ida Marie Nielsen has joined the cast of "Vikings" Season 4. According to Deadline, the "Anna Phil" star will play the character named Margrethe. Margrethe is a young Viking servant. She will appear in the second half of the season and will be a love interest of one of the main characters in the series. The character is described as "clever and resilient, yet vulnerable at the same time."
Ida Marie Nielsen joins other "Vikings" Season 4 new cast members, including Rhys Meyers, Ferdia Walsh Peelo (Alfred) and Darren Cahill (Aethelred). As reported by Parent Herald, Meyers, Peelo and Cahill will have prominent roles in "Vikings" Season 5.
"Vikings" Season 4 spoilers tease of major deaths happening in the upcoming new episodes on History. The biggest of which is that of Ragnar Lothbrok, played by Travis Fimmel. Several reports and leaked photos already confirmed the lead character's demise. Lothbrok and his sons will embark on huge battles.
The battles will also take the life of Queen Aslaug, played by Alyssa Sutherland, Ragnar Lothbrok's wife, according to speculations. In one of the released trailers for "Vikings" Season 4, Lagertha, played by Katheryn Winnick, warned Queen Aslaug about making her payback for what she did on her marriage. The fallout in Lagertha and Ragnar Lothbrok's marriage also forced Lagertha out of Kattegat.
Meanwhile, the death of King Ecbert, played by Linus Roache, is also predicted to happen in the second half of "Vikings" Season 4. This is in line with The Seer's (John Kavanagh) prophecy about Ragnar Lothbrok bringing blood and destruction.
"Vikings" Season 4 will be back on the small screen on Nov. 30, at 9/8c on History. "Vikings" Season 5 is expected to be released in midseason of 2017.
