Abby Deveraux is making a surprising return to Salem today on "Days of Our Lives." She will be played by Marci Miller this time, after Kate Mansi quit the show in June.
Marci Miller debuts as the new Abby Deveraux on "Days of Our Lives" on Nov. 10. Speaking with Yahoo! TV, the actress teased that "Shock is an understatement" when Abby, who was presumed dead, comes back to Salem. The publication also released a photo of the first look of Marci Miller as Abby, together with her love team, Billy Flynn, who plays Chad DiMera.
Kate Mansi left the role back in June and the character, Abby, was staged as already dead. Chad and Abby's mother, Jennifer, believed so. They mourned and grieved for their loved one's demise and are already on the path of healing, and now Abby is coming back in some shocking storylines.
"They all really think that she's gone. They've gone through the process of finding out, grieving, mourning, and started a path to healing, like anybody does after something like that, and to then be broadsided... 'Shock' is definitely an understatement," Marci Miller told Yahoo! TV.
"They were really interesting first scenes to play, because as an actor, Marci comes to the show, and some of the first encounters that I have with [the cast] are them seeing me for the first time back from the dead," she added.
"Days of Our Lives" spoilers via Celebrity Dirty Laundry tease that Abigail will be hiding in the shadows for a couple of days first. However, it will not be too long before someone discovers she's back from the dead. It will also be not that easy for "Chabby" to return together given what they went through and some things they still need to sort out. But as Chad still really loves his wife, everything will eventually fall into place.
