The killing of JonBenet Ramsey has put her own parents, Patsy and John Ramsey, under scrutiny as pieces of evidence lead to them being suspects. The couple was exonerated eventually, but when "The Case Of: JonBenet" premiered on CBS, the investigation pointed to another possible suspect from JonBenet's family, her older brother, Burke.
The JonBenet Ramsey murder will be nearing its second decade and still, justice remains unserved for the 6-year-old. In the nick of time, her brother finally emerged and broken his silence for nearly 20 years, as the docu-series subtly pointed out how he could be the one who killed JonBenet.
Based on the two-part docu-series "The Case Of: JonBenet," then 9-year-old Burke accidentally killed her sister in a fit of anger over a pineapple snack, as reported by Daily Mail. It was speculated that Burke was about to have a midnight snack of tea and pineapple, but his younger sister took a bite from it, and it allegedly angered Burke.
Now, the parents--despite their despair in having their daughter killed--could not reportedly afford to let their only living child in trouble. Hence, Patsy and John were said to be conspirators to the crime and covered up Burke's role in JonBenet's death.
Burke allegedly struck JonBenet with a flashlight, which perfectly fitted the little girl's blown skull, as speculated by seasoned forensic pathologist, Dr. Werner Spitz. While the flashlight has been recovered at the crime scene, Rolling Stone reports that neither of the two siblings' traces were found in the flashlight.
Adding more to the accusations that Burke Ramsey may really be guilty are his manners while being interviewed during the Dr. Phil Show. JonBenet's older brother was said to be grinning all throughout the interview, even during the times the host asked sensitive and saddening questions about the 6-year-old's death.
As previously reported by Parent Herald, Burke Ramsey filed a complaint against the forensic pathologist for having tainted his name into killing his own sister. Dr. Spitz has notably worked for the CBS docu-series, but Burke Ramsey's lawyer said that the defamation case was filed particularly for a certain radio interview with the expert.
JonBenet Ramsey was killed on Dec. 26, 1996, in her family's Boulder home in Colorado. Reportedly kidnapped based on her mother's account, JonBenet was found dead hours after a 911 call with blows on her head and several corporal injuries, including ones in her genitals.
