AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 6 is coming this October. However, there's a rumor that one character is going out.
The character of Tara Chambler might say goodbye in the upcoming season of the series as the actress who portrays her is pregnant.
Actress Alanna Masterson has revealed that she is currently pregnant with her boyfriend, Brick Stowell, through an Instagram post.
Stowell confirmed her girlfriend's pregnancy by posting a picture of them together in Instagram with Masterson showing her baby bump in a bikini.
E! Online notes that when one browses their "respective social media accounts, it appears that signs of a possible pregnancy were right in front of us the entire time." It looks like Masterson and Stowell were keeping it a secret, until now.
Though this excites Masterson, her pregnancy still leaves questions as to her fate in "The Walking Dead."
Masterson's character, Tara, joined the series in season 4 as a part of the Governor's (David Morrissey) crew. She eventually joined Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group and became one of their reliable members.
In season 5, she was injured while on a supply run, where one of their members, Noah (Tyler James Williams), was killed by walkers.
The question now is, will her condition fit in the series? Enstars notes that "Tara is an open lesbian on the show--and unless a random encounter with a man is written into the script, she likely wouldn't be pregnant"
Even if her character is really written to be pregnant, her pregnancy would make her unlikely to survive a zombie apocalypse either. Enstars further adds that "the show has never hesitated when it comes to killing off strong members," which makes fans think if Tara would really stay longer.
Good news for hopeful Tara fans, though, as International Business Times says, "Perhaps the show will simply put objects in front of Tara during Season 6."
This isn't the first time that the Walking Dead has had to deal with a pregnant actress. Sonequa Martin-Green, who played Sasha, was also pregnant during the filming of season 5, but the producers were able to hide it, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"For the longest time, just the layers that I'm wearing would hide the whole thing. And my gun is really big, so that helps too," Martin-Green says. "So it's been okay, and now at this point it's about just doing good right angles and not turning to a full profile. As long as I'm face-on, there's a trick of the camera—you can't quite see it."
