It's only a few weeks until Netflix releases "Fuller House" Season 2 on the streaming platform and it is expected that all 13 episodes of the show will be available at midnight Friday, Dec. 9. But some believe that the series could be better off released as a weekly episode. Would Netflix reconsider this?
Like all the rest of the shows on Netflix, "Fuller House" Season 2 will be another release meant for binge-watching. But according to Decider, the show has the potential to become Netflix's first hit series released in a weekly format, if only this were the actual case.
Part of the reason why a weekly release makes sense is that "Fuller House" Season 2 will have each episode circling around a holiday theme. It would be fun to watch, dissect and discuss per episode with family or friends than go through all of the stories in one go.
Binge-watching "Fuller House" could lump up the bits and pieces of the show and some special things might be missed during watercooler discussions. Back when "Fuller House" Season 1 was released, it took fans only a couple of weeks to keep the buzz after watching all episodes at once.
"Fuller House" is Netflix's most popular show and fans are expected to follow and watch the second season no matter what. But it might receive more success and following as a weekly release, which will be a first for the streaming platform.
Meanwhile, one of the many surprises in store for "Fuller House" season 2 is the guest appearance of '90s boyband New Kids on the Block (NKOTB). Candace Cameron Bure, Jodi Sweetin and Andrea Barber are big fans and the women of "Fuller House" admitted to be such fangirls that they had a hard time holding back their excitement, according to the Daily Register. NKOTB will appear on "Fuller House" for DJ's (Bure) birthday episode.
Catch "Fuller House" Season 2 on Netflix. It will be available on Friday, Dec. 9, on all global territories.
