The upcoming film "Murder On The Orient Express" has just added Penelope Cruz to its growing A-list cast members. The Kenneth Branagh led-film has already booked Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, Judi Dench and Josh Gad.
The addition of "Escobar" star, Penelope Cruz, has been reported by Deadline. However, there were no details yet as to what role the actress will be playing. Penelope Cruz is known for her roles in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" (2011), "Vanilla Sky" (2001), and "The Queen of Spain" (2006).
The "Murder On The Orient Express" is based on Agatha Christie's novel released in 1934, which tells the mysterious death of an American businessman aboard the Orient Express. Detective Hercule Poirot, to be played by Kenneth Branagh himself, was tasked to investigate and solve the murder. He finds out that there are 13 people linked to the victim of "Murder On The Orient Express." Screen Rant suggests Penelope Cruz could be portraying one of the 13 suspects in the murder.
Kenneth Branagh, who is directing the film, is joined by Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon as producers. The executive producers include James Prichard, the author's great grandson and chairman of Agatha Christie Ltd., and Hilary Strong, CEO at Agatha Christie Ltd. The screenplay of "Murder On The Orient Express" is written by Michael Green ("Logan," "Blade Runner" and "Alien: Covenant.")
The "Murder On The Orient Express" is slated to begin production this November in London, United Kingdom. It stars Johnny Depp as Ratchett, Daisy Ridley as Mary Debenham, Michelle Pfeiffer as Mrs. Hubbard, Lucy Boynton as Countess Andrenyi, and Josh Gad as Hector McQueen among others.
"Murder On The Orient Express" is scheduled to be released in the United States on Nov. 22, 2017. Are you excited?
