"Grand Theft Auto 6" with a London map from Rockstar Games and parent company Take Two Interactive is anticipated to be the most impressive game in the "GTA" series. Selling a total of 70 million copies of "Grand Theft Auto 5" alone as October ended and "GTA Online" continuing in strength, the coming iteration from Rockstar is bound mark a new milestone.
Citing Motley Fool, Take Two Interactive has been able to stay on top of rankings with the "Gand Theft Auto" franchise. "Grand Theft Auto" mission packs and DLCs play a large role in growing franchise revenue. While game sales in general hit the high at initial release – dwindling onward, "Grand Theft Auto" remarkably increases in revenue long after the main release.
Motley Fool further points out that Rockstar and Take Two Interactive will logically follow the "Grand Theft Auto" model for "Red Dead Redemption 2." This would not be surprising given that income from "Grand Theft Auto 5" from September 2015 to September 2016 is estimated to be at $700 million while "GTA Online" income by April 2016 is around to $500 million.
The media outlet proposes that "Grand Theft Auto 6," which may release in 2018, could follow this GTA trend. To be sure, Rockstar and Take Two Interactive will take care to maintain the quality and lead of the "GTA" franchise in "Grand Theft Auto 6."
To say that "Grand Theft Auto 6," widely reported to be developed with a London map, would be the strongest mainline instalment from Rockstar and Take Two Interactive would be realistic. Report from Mobi Picker says that Rockstar may have revealed the plan for a "Grand Theft Auto 6" London map as early as "GTA 5" development previews the planning and care given to the franchise.
While Motley Fool projects a 2018 release for "Grand Theft Auto 6," a modest 2020 projection for "GTA 6" with a London map would not be out of place. Share your thoughts with us on "Grand Theft Auto 6" using the comment box below.
