With the Droid Turbo 2 officially announced in October last year, Motorola is once again revving its engine to release a third Droid in the mix. The Droid Turbo 3 was recently spotted by eager eyes together with the Moto X 2017.
It seems that Motorola and Lenovo (or both as a single entity) have been busy as of late. From the Moto M to the P2 and the Phab, the partnership is doing good and going places. To date, the Moto Droid Turbo 3 and the so-called Moto X 2017 is making the rounds, with various sources saying that both devices might be announced "soon."
Phone Radar said that Chinese tech blog Weibo was able to spot several leaked images of the Motorola Droid Turbo 3. Algthough it's not the entire Smartphone per say, the photo revealed that the device will have a back casing with a "metallic finish". On the upper left portion of the device is a rather obvious camera spot. It is said to house a 16megapixel Hasselblad camera with f/1.9 aperture and the traditional LED flash.
In addition, the Moto Droid Turbo 3 is rumored to come with a 4,000mAh battery and 4GB RAM. The upsize came in light of its predecessor, the Droid Turbo 2 who had a 3,760mAh juicer and 3GB RAM.
On the otther hand, the Moto X 2017 didn't come with photos, but it did serve some important snippets on what should Motorola fans expect. Camera-wise, the new X will utilize a bunch of clicker features like continuous shooting, digital zoom, auto-focus and the like. The device will come in the form of a "candy bar", or typicall like the average mid-tier Smartphone. Also, it should pack all the basic necessities like sensors, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a bunch of "pre-installed application".
"Soon" is too vague a word for Motorola to say. Again, there's no official release coming from Motorola or Lenovo aside from the latter's decision that all mobile phones are to be marketed under the Moto branding.
