Netflix originally planned "Bloodline" to run until its sixth season, but earlier this year, it was announced to be cut short only until "Bloodline" Season 3. The details why the streaming giant canceled the series are vague, but with "Longmire" getting renewed for another season after being almost ordered cancellation, will fans get to have "Bloodline" Season 4 after all?
This will be last season that fans can see the Rayburns as they unveil dark family secrets, or perhaps not, says Movie News Guide. "Bloodline" followers are having a glimmer of hope that they can prolong the series, just as how fans have sent countless requests to extend "Longmire" for a befitting closure.
The cancellation of "Bloodline" is clearly out of grasp for fans, considering that it has been well-received and even one of its actors earned an award from the "Bloodline" portrayal. Ben Mendelsohn, who plays as Danny Rayburn, received an Emmy award in September for the Netflix series.
One of the possible reasons that pushed "Bloodline" to be canceled is because of its setting crisis. With the tax incentives from Florida Keys local being cut off per Deadline, producers are finding it hard to maintain the show and if they do, it will cost a hefty amount of money for Netflix. Relocating the series is naturally not an option, since the location is a pertinent element to the Rayburns' family story.
Another saddening news for "Bloodline" fans is that the series has been reduced to 10 episodes. Nonetheless, webseries producer Kyle Chandler promised that "Bloodline" Season 3 will be featuring darker secrets of the Rayburn family.
As previously reported by Parent Herald, the crime series' third installment can be expected with more Rayburn secrets and lies. Consequently, these will all be revealed and it will tell how the story of the Rayburn siblings and matriarch will unfold.
