Mike Pence Appointed as the New Chairperson of Donald Trump’s Transition Committee: A Change In Command

Friday, US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed his running mate, vice-president Mike Pence as the new chairman of the Trump's transition committee. The appointment is expected to dilute the influence of the former chairperson Chris Christie who held the position months prior to the national elections of November 8 2016.

The Republicans neither provided gaudy defenses on the abrupt alteration. Despite the cold relations during the campaigning, Trump linger confidence to the former Indiana governor whom he has personally chosen as his running mate succeeding his triumph in the Republican nominations.

Pence is expected to work together with the newly selected executive director Rick Dearborn who was also the chief of staff of Senator Jeff Sessions, a known to Trump loyalist and hardliner on immigration. For Christie, the designation of Dearborn also pose a double strike as it would replace Rich Bagger, the latter's top ally.

According to Market Watch allegations have it explicated with the convictions of Christie's two aides on grounds of politically motivated lane closure on the Washington Bridge. This could possibly be a stratagem of "washing-hands" by Trump considering the current bitter feedback from several constituencies within and outside the country.

Nevertheless, the President-elect did not left him empty-handed as he was directed to act as Vice-Chair of the transition committee.Supplementary newly appointed officials also include; Ret. Lt. General Mike Flynn; former New York City mayor Rudy Guillani; Dr. Ben Carson; and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, all of which are close confidants of the President-elect during the election period.

Meanwhile, Trump fill-in the ranks by employing his children; Eric, Donald Jr., and Ivanka Trump with her husband Jared Kushner as members of the committee says Washington Post. Do you feel any expanding political tension between Trump and his party allies? Share your thoughts below
