A document from a voice acting union, SAF-AFTRA accidentally unveiled the latest Marvel masterpiece to be ported into gaming consoles, and it reveals that it is "Guardians of the Galaxy." Two years from now, it's safe to say that Marvel fanatics can see Maskless Sakaaran, Star-Lord, Groot, Nebula and other heroes in a video game collaborated by Telltale and the comics-based company.
Comic Book Movie was the first to report the findings in SAF-AFTRA document. It appears that "Guardians of the Galaxy" is under O'Farrell Enterprises, LLC, which is under the auspices of voice over producer Darragh O'Farell. The voice over producer also holds several big franchises such as "Tales From The Borderland" and "The Walking Dead"
In the document, Polygon notes that the latest Marvel game is titled "Guardians of the Galaxy- The Video Game a/k/a Blue Harvest." But as soon as the document was released, and with people quick to pick up the valuable discovery, the document was swiftly updated. Currently, the game's title in the document is "Untitled Marvel Game aka Blue Harvest."
According to Eurogamer, this discovery is definitely a huge spoiler for its alleged official unveiling in The Game Awards scheduled this December. Nonetheless, it may be the first time that the Telltale-Marvel game, "Guardians of the Galaxy," to give its first sneak peek for fans. For the gaming company, it's customary to release a new title's first trailer during the event.
While it is already confirmed that "Guardians of the Galaxy" is the next Marvel project by Telltale, no other information is known about the upcoming title. The game may reportedly follow either the comics' continuity or the Marvel Studios version.
Timely, second film installation of "Guardians of the Galaxy" is currently in the works as well, per Screen Rant. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will hit the big screen in May 2017, the same year "Guardians of the Galaxy" game is expected to hit the markets.
