'Harry Potter GO' Latest News & Update: Why Niantic Labs & Warner Bros. Should Give The J.K. Rowling-Inspired Game A Go

With Niantic Labs earning heaps from its augmented reality game, "Pokemon GO," the fan-conceptualized "Harry Potter GO" is not far from fruition, and that is if the gaming giant will only lend ears to a million-strong "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" fans. As these die-hard followers of J.K. Rowling's masterpieces come together, will it push the game developer to create the game they are clamoring for?

The fan base of the "Harry Potter" series and "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is such a huge market that Niantic Labs might want to venture in. According to Independent, these followers wanted it badly that they even started doing an online petition to get Warner Bros.' green light.

So far, one petition posted in The Petition Site got almost 95 percent of the goal supporters. Out of the 65,000 goal count, lead petitioner Ashtyn Hannon has collected over 61,000 supporters. The lead petitioner added that there should be no other reasons "Harry Potter GO" could not be created as it can be a win-win situation for all--Niantic Labs, Warner Bros. and the Potterheads, themselves.

One of the manifestations that "Harry Potter GO" can be a huge hit is the recently launched "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" game titled "Fantastic Beasts: Cases From The Wizarding World." Before it is slated to be released, the new mobile app has already created a huge buzz among Potterheads and even the non-Potterheads.

Despite the new mobile app being a simple game of finding hidden objects and casting spells, it has managed to get plenty of interests. Some users on Twitter expressed their excitement for the "Harry Potter GO" related game, while another user is already asking for a gaming console version of the app.

Niantic Labs should definitely strike when the iron is still hot. What do you think about "Harry Potter GO" being actualized? Let us know what you think about it by commenting below!
