News regarding the Apple iMac 2016 release date was not announced by Cupertino-based tech giant during their October event. However, fans are hopeful as rumors surfaced the presence of the new Kaby Lake processor in Apple's flagship device with 5K resolution display.
Why is there a delay of Apple iMac 2016 release date?
According to reports, the reason for the delay of Apple iMac 2016 release date announcement is that Kaby Lake processor is still unavailable, which Intel is yet to unveil. A recent Intel report found by AnandTech, however, says that the giant chip-maker is poised to release 11 quad-core Kaby Lake processors, all within the first three months of 2017.
The report details the planned release of seven (7) Core i5s, three (3) Core i7s, and one Xeon E3 v6 processors, chips that have been rumored to appear in the Apple iMac 2016 for quite some time now.
If the rumors of the new Kaby Lake processor in Apple iMac 2016 prove to be true, then each of these Kaby Lake chips are significantly faster and improved than their Skylake counterparts. This will make these new family of processors perfect for the latest version of Apple's flagship all-in-one.
Will the Apple iMac 2016 sport a 5k resolution display?
Apple iMac 2016 will be arriving in a 5K resolution display. And the soon-to-released Apple iMac 20016 is now dubbed Apple iMac 2017. More info is yet to be released by the tech giant.
Is Apple threatened by Microsoft's latest Surface Studio?
Apple really needs to step up its game though and come up with an official Apple iMac 2016 release date since the all-in-one market just got a little bit more interesting with the announcement of Microsoft's Surface Studio.
The new productivity device from Microsoft is currently miles ahead of the present iMac in both specs and features and usability. Support for the Microsoft Surface Pen and a new innovative tool called the Surface Dial pushed the Surface Studio to the top when compared side by side to the Apple iMac.
The Apple iMac has always prided itself with the distinction of being one of the best productivity and creativity devices in the market, but with the Microsoft Surface Studio's appearance, Apple's all-in-one has been left far back in the race.
More news and updates on the Apple iMac 2016 (or 2017) will be posted soon. So stay tuned for the highly anticipated announcement and release date.
