CW has announced the premiere dates of all its shows including "The 100" season 4. With the return of "The 100", we're rounding up what we know so far about its fourth season.
The line-up of CW for mid-season has just been released. "The 100" season 4 schedule will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. "Reign" and "The Originals" will return on February 10 and March 17, respectively. "iZombie" will be back for its third season on April 4. CW's newest show "Riverdale", an edgy and modern adaptation of beloved comics, "Archie", will premiere on January 26. "Riverdale" is produced by Greg Berlanti who also produced hit CW shows, "The Flash" and "Supergirl".
With the return of "The 100" set, we round up what we know so far of the upcoming fourth season. To recap, "The 100" season 3 ended with the deaths of Lexa, Lincoln, and Pike while rest of the grounders learn of the impending nuclear disaster.
During the "The 100" Comic-Con panel last year, "The 100" series creator Jason Rothenberg revealed that the inhabitants of post-apocalyptic Earth besides preparing for the impending nuclear disaster will face the wrath of Mother Earth. Jason Rothenberg says, "The earth strikes back in "The 100" season 4, it is an unbeatable foe". "The 100" series creator adds that "The 100" season 4 will tackle more on how everyone will survive two disasters and how can they survive after it happens.
"The 100" season 4 also opens with a more mature and hardened cast. "The 100" Octavia, played by actress Marie Avgeropoulos, says her character will get darker and deadlier. "The 100" Clarke, played by actress Eliza Taylor, will become more mature and take on more prominent leadership. Clarke acknowledges that she did save the world and realizes that she is now responsible for a lot of people.
Though the death of "The 100" Lexa has devastated Clarke, rumor has it, Clarke will find love in "The 100" season 4. Though it is not sure with who. Henry Ian Cusick who plays "The 100" Kane, hopes his character would return to a position of leadership. "The 100" season 4 would be even more special as the actor revealed he will be directing one episode of season 4.
"The 100" fans can also look forward to the return of "The 100" Roan, "The 100" Indra, and "The 100" Luna. Not much is known about what Roan, Ice Nation King, and Luna will be up to on "The 100" season 4. In "The 100" season 3, we saw Indra heavily wounded but with the news of her return, it's safe to say she is alive.
There are speculations that in order to survive the impending nuclear disaster, Clarke and the rest of the grounders are going underground by building caves to protect them from the radiation. But with Mother Earth making her presence known, it would mean that the inhabitants of the Earth must find another solution.
Are you excited for "The 100" season 4? Will you be watching CW's "Riverdale", too?
