Superstars are not exempted in the latest NBA trade rumors, as former Rookie of the Year, Andrew Wiggins is reported to join the Chicago Bulls to team up with Dwayne Wade and company. As a result, Jimmy Butler is headed to Minnesota Timberwolves to reunite with Coach Tom Thibodeau and the rest of the pack, according to a news published in HNGN.
The Bulls' are showing that they are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, as they are off to an early good start. The team is set to contend for a playoff spot this season. On the other hand, the Timberwolves' have struggled despite really high expectations from their young core of players and new head coach, Coach Thibodeau. Players like Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine and Karl Anthony-Towns form one of the league's future all-star players but are still in the development stage.
Even though the Bulls are on a roll now due to the early success of their newly formed superstar dynamic duo, Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler. However, there are still a lot of areas that need improvement if they want to be championship contenders. Butler is currently averaging 24.5 points, grabbing 6.1 rebounds, and dishing out 4.3 assists per game while Wade is scoring 17.2 points, snatching 4.2 boards and 3.1 assists per match up.
According to Mobile & Apps, the Bulls are interested with young guard/forward, Andrew Wiggins. With Wiggins is also Zach LaVine who is reported to be part of the trade deal. This move will then send Jimmy Butler to the Timberwolves.
Both teams will benefit from this speculated trade scenario. Adding Wiggins and LaVine to the Bulls will boost the team's scoring play. On the other hand, having Butler in Minnesota will bring leadership, defensive mindset, and athleticism to the team. His addition will also hasten the development of the young team as he mentors young big man, and 2016 Rookie of the Year, Karl Anthony-Towns.
It's too early to say that the Bulls are willing to give away their all-star forward. But if this pushes through, it will be interesting to find out the result of the possible trade.
