‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Episode 9 Review: Will Andrew Save Alex From Jail Time?

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 9 brings fans at the edge of their seats while Dr. Alex Karev is left contemplating whether to take a plea deal that will protect his girlfriend. Is saving Dr. Jo Wilson worth two years in jail?

In the show's midseason finale episode, Jo finally decides to reveal the truth. In the "Grey's Anatomy" episode entitled "You Haven't Done Nothin" tells boyfriend Alex that she was married. Jo adds that she was battered as a wife and she was forced her to change her name to hide from her abusive husband.

Movie Fone noted how confused Alex was after his girlfriend's revelation. They both realized that a choice has to be made. If Alex's assault case against DeLuca goes to court, Jo realizes that she has to testify thereby risking exposure of her true identity and be found by her abusive husband.

Alex is left with another option, as per TV Fanatic. In order to prevent a court hearing, Alex can instead take a plea deal which will cost him 2 years of jail time. Alex finally comes to a heroic decision and he is seen while he waits to take the plea deal.

But then a voice mail came. It was a message from Meredith Grey. Through her voice message, Meredith reminds Alex that it's just the two of them now. From the original five Bailey interns, there's him and her now and if he takes the deal, Meredith will be left alone.

Away from the Jo-Alex drama, Richard Webber is displeased with the news that his post was given to Eliza. Webber's relationship with Miranda Bailey is on the rocks too. Meanwhile, chief Owen Hunt was once again left were former wife Christina Yang left him when current lover Amelia decides to walk away on him too.

What do you think will happen to Alex and the rest of the "Grey's Anatomy" doctors when the show returns in 2017?
