NBA Latest News: Former NBA Star Dennis Rodman Charged With Hit And Run

NBA hall of famer Dennis Rodman was accused of driving in the wrong lane towards a sedan, forcing the driver to swerve and crash into a wall to avoid a head-on collision with Rodman's car. The victim was in pain after the accident and called 911.

Rodman allegedly ran away from the accident in Santa Ana, California before authorities arrived and did not even bother to check on the victim, according to Bleacher Report. Rodman was reportedly driving an SUV last July 20 around 12 midnight after he was spotted partying at a karaoke bar.

Rodman's representative responded with the allegations and stated that it was a misdemeanor traffic violation and definitely not a felony. Rodman's camp appreciated the evaluation of the district attorney and resolution when every detail and specific information are considered, as per TMZ Sports.

Rodman was charged with four misdemeanor criminal charges, which includes hit-and-run. Moreover, authorities that investigated the case have said that the former NBA player lied to the official investigators. Rodman faces additional misdemeanor charges, providing false information and driving without a license. He will be arraigned on Jan. 20, 2017 and if found guilty, Rodman could face up to two years in jail.

Rodman was part of the popular 90's Chicago Bulls championship team with the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. He was well known for his defensive skills and led the league in rebounds for multiple seasons. He retired in the NBA as one of the best rebound leaders of all time.

Rodman was well known for his colorful hairdo and outlandish personality that made him more famous during his stint in the NBA. Fans and players around the league remember him as one of the toughest defenders that ever played the game.
