While the next season of "Game of Thrones" approaches, new spoilers come alive to get fans excited. According to UnleashTheFanBoy, "Game of Thrones" has broken its "no flashbacks" rule as the show opens the season with a young Cersei Lannister receiving a prophecy from the woods witch, Maggy the Frog. The flashback trend will likely be prevalent as a younger version of another character is reported to make an appearance.
According to reliable sources from Watchers on the Wall, Sebastian Croft, 13, will play the role of a young Ned Stark in the sixth season of the popular epic fantasy drama.
Croft is an experienced theater actor. The teen appeared in several London West End productions such as "Matilda" and "Les Miserables." He also played the titular character "Peter Pan" and starred as the young Simon Cowell in "I Can't Sing," according to a report from Winter Is Coming. He also played the character of young Martius in "Coriolanus." Backed with a rich experience in portraying younger versions of notable TV characters, Croft, as Watchers on the Wall noted, was the perfect fit for the character of the young Ned.
Apart from reportedly being included in the "Game of Thrones" season 6, Croft's other achievement this year includes playing the titular role in the new musical version of "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4" at the Leicester Curve.
The character of the younger Ned appearinh in the new season is not that much of a surprise. In fact, fans are considering the possibility of seeing a child Ned since late May when the casting list for "Game of Thrones" season 6 surfaced, as shown in another report from Watchers on the Wall.
The article breaks down the characters in the upcoming sequel, and the list includes a 12-year-old-boy with brown hair and blue eyes. The said character is required to use a Northern accent. He has scenes where he will be fighting with a wooden sword. Although the role was not specified, many believed that the requirements were indicating a younger Ned. Sean Ben has noticeably brown hair and green eyes, so the casting for the said role could be a flashback.
More likely, young Ned will be seen through Bran's eyes as the paraplegic boy learns to see into the past through Westeros' ubiquitous weirwood trees, similar to that of "A Dance with Dragons," according to Winter Is Coming.
