A few weeks before "The Crown" was released to the public by Netflix, The Daily Telegraph revealed that the latest TV series about the British monarchy will span a total of six seasons, each with ten episodes. This Netflix TV series deals with the most important happening inside the Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street.
Vanity Fair also reported that each season of "The Crown" will cover a decade of Queen Elizabeth II's life. Starting with the first season, the showrunners started with the story of then Princess Elizabeth's marriage to Prince Philip. The first season runs until 1955.
So what's in store for "The Crown" Season 2"? In the latest interview with Claire Foy, who plays the role of Queen Elizabeth II, she shared some interesting stories that will be included in the second season. Foy also revealed that the filming of the second season has already begun.
"We are a month in," the 32-year old English actress told Vanity Fair. "We literally pick up where we left off-in 1956. I think Peter's taking [us up to] 63 or 64. We get into the 60s, and it is a whole other world happening."
So it looks like "The Crown" Season 2 will not touch on one of the most historical events that brings one of the largest gatherings of statesmen from all over the world. Anyway, there's no specific dateline yet announced for "The Crown" Season 2 but it's sure another big hit.
