The "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix, which has been entitled "A Year in a Life," brought many surprises for its long-time fans. Apart from the revelations of where the characters are after all these years, missing and long-last characters were also given closure. The revival series with a total of four episodes was released on Friday, Nov. 25, on the streaming site.
One such missing character was Tristan, who was played by Chad Michael Murray and appeared in the first season of "Gilmore Girls" only. In the revival episode entitled "Spring," Tristan was seen on TV for a few seconds when Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Paris (Liza Weil) visited their old school, Chilton, for alumni day.
Paris saw Tristan in the Chilton halls and it sent her heart racing. Viewers might recall that Tristan was Paris' high school crush, who almost dated Rory. This was one of the reasons why Paris didn't like Rory in the beginning of the series.
Only, it wasn't Chad Michael Murray that viewers got to see in the "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix. According to ET Online, Anton Narinskiy took over the role when Murray couldn't reprise the role. "I mean, it would've been nice [to have him in the revival], but he's busy," Liza Weil told the news outlet.
Meanwhile, in the same episode of the "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix, viewers were finally treated to the presence of Mr. Kim, Lane Kim's (Keiko Agena) father. The dad of Rory's best friend was never given a face in the show, which led some fans to believe that Mrs. Kim was a single mom.
According to Radio Times, the big mystery has been solve when Mr. Kim was finally seen on the show as he chatted with someone during the International Spring Food Festival at Star's Hollow in "A Year in a Life." He didn't have any lines but his daughter did acknowledge that it is him.
