With all the cast changes on "Narcos" Season 3, it might seem like the show is getting a reboot on Netflix. Producers did confirm that the drama about drug kingpins is going to move on to a different story following the end of Pablo Escobar in the first and second season.
But who will form part of "Narcos" Season 3 and will a few old faces still be retained? Here's a roundup of who's in and who's out, as well as what's coming up ahead for the show.
Leading the cast of new faces in the upcoming season are Kerry Bishé and Arturo Castro. The latter will play the son of Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis), who is one of the heads the Cali Cartel along with his brother Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar). Bishé will play an American married to a Colombian in the drug trade, who enlists the help of the U.S. Embassy for her safety, Deadline reports. The new season will open with Castro's character taking the reigns as his father and uncle are locked up in prison.
Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan are the new DEA agents -- Chris Feistl and Daniel Van Ness -- tasked to go after the lording cartel in Colombia in the upcoming season. They will be working alongside Pedro Pascal's Javier Pena, who is one half of the cop duo from the past seasons that has been confirmed to return for "Narcos" Season 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The other half, Boyd Holbrook, is likely out of the new season.
Also joining the show in recurring episodes are Nicholas Gonzalez as an American DEA agent, Andrea Londo as a Colombian beauty queen, Curtis Cook as Gilbert Mills. Production for "Narcos" Season 3 has already started since October 2016. The new season is expected to premiere in the second half of 2017.
