'X-Men: Apocalypse' News Update: Four Horsemen, Wolverine Costumes Revealed; Angel A Horsemen? [Rumor]

For those waiting for updates about the anticipated flick, "X-Men: Apocalypse," director Bryan Singer has been very active on his Instagram, teasing fans on the next franchise of "X-Men." This week, Singer revealed two teaser photos to stir excitement among its audience.

According to Ecumenical News, Singer posted photos of what appears to be the "X-Men" wardrobes. However, the director is wise enough to trigger curiousness among its followers as the photos were behind frosted glasses, so the images were blurry and there is no way of telling for sure to whom these costumes were for.

Singer captioned his post with "Reminds me of #area51 #roswell #xmen #xmenapocalypse." The report suggested that these costumes could be for the Four Horsemen.

On the other hand, according to Yibada, the costume of the metal-clawed mutant, Wolverine for "X-Men: Apocalypse," has been unveiled, and the popular mutant will don a yellow and black costume, from its mask, suit and gloves.

Movie Pilot has reported this earlier, but they weren't sure if the photos were hoax or real since it was posted on April Fool's Day. However, there is a high possibility that for the first time that Hugh Jackman, the actor who played the crowd-favorite mutant, will be seen on a costume similar to his comic book counterpart.

An earlier report from ComicBookMovie.com confirmed this when the site posted a photo of Jackman in a black and yellow mask. The report said, "20th Century Fox has just released the first official still from their upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse, and it features star Hugh Jackman suited up as a comic book accurate Wolverine! Check it out!"

The classic yellow costume was revealed at the end of "The Wolverine" when the self-healing mutant was about to leave Japan on a private jet, Movie News Guide has learned.

Aside from the costumes that Singer posted, he also shared a snapshot of Ben Hardy, who will be playing the winged mutant and horseman, Angel, according to Ecumenical News. The scene of Angel was taken in some random Berlin fight club, which likely confirmed previous rumors that the titular villain character, Apocalypse, will recruit him in a fight club in Germany.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is a direct sequel of the last film, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." This new franchise takes off some of its elements from the 1996 comic mini-series, "Rise of Apocalypse," written by Terry Kavanagh and Adam Pollina. Storm and Angel are confirmed to be two of Apocalypse's horsemen.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be released on theaters on May 27, 2016.
