Kody Brown and his famous polygamous family are back for TLC's "Sister Wives" Season 7. As seen in the two-hour pilot episode aired last Sunday, Nov. 27, the new season promises more shocking revelations about the Brown family.
First up, we see that Meri Brown's catfish drama is not over yet. Kody's first wife tearfully revealed in the last season that she had an emotional affair with someone over the internet, only to find out that she had been scammed.
Apparently, Meri and Kody have not fully resolved their issues, and they are seen having an emotional conversation about it. In the "Sister Wives" Season 7 pilot episode, Meri admits to being angry at Kody for a long time, which made her "push Kody away."
In their heart-to-heart talk, it seems like being in a polygamous marriage is becoming too much for Meri. She admits that she needs more time and attention from Kody, who obviously can't focus on her solely because of his growing family.
"It's not what I signed up for," she tells Kody. Does Meri want out of Kody's plural marriage?
On a happier note, the Brown family is preparing for a wedding. Maddie, Kody's daughter with second wife Janelle, is getting married to longtime fiance Caleb Brush. Among other things, Kody is concerned over serving alcohol on the big day.
"We don't want it getting funky," the father of the bride says. Maddie and Caleb got married last June and they recently announced that they have a baby on the way, as previously reported.
Another daughter is also getting married. Mykelti, Kody's daughter with third wife Christine, is excited to be engaged with boyfriend Tony Padron. However, Kody seems to have his reservations.
When Tony nervously asks for his blessing, Kody asks him to consider waiting a little longer before getting married. However, Tony and Mykelti are adamant on having a short courtship.
Meanwhile, TLC promises "bigger changes" in the Brown household throughout the season. The family has been hounded by rumors quite recently, from divorce rumors to the wives' relationship with each other. These would surely be discussed throughout the new season.
"Sister Wives" Season 7 airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on TLC.
