PC gamers are currently having a petition drive for "Red Dead Redemption 2." This is to convince Rockstar games to port the upcoming game to PC.
The letter states the following: "Dear Rockstar, The PC gaming community requests you to consider releasing 'Red Dead Redemption 2' on PC platform. We have always supported you and loved your marvelous games over the years. Please do not deprive us of enjoying your beautiful games, as you did with 'Red Dead Redemption' (2010). This will be an injustice to your fans if you do not bring 'Red Dead Redemption 2' on PC this time. We hope this open petition will encourage you and your respective authority to consider our plea," as published in change.org's website.
The petition currently has 44,049 supporters, which continue to rise. Rockstar has already confirmed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is not coming to PC, but PC gamers are hopeful since a similar incident happened during the announcement of Ubisoft's "The Division" where it was announced during E3 2013 that the game will only be available thru Xbox One and PS4. After a petition similar to the one currently in discussion, Ubisoft released "The Division" on all platforms, according to gaming respawn.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the most anticipated games of 2017. It was announced in October and already has it's very first trailer. The success of the first installment "Red Dead Redemption," has created a craving for the fans to want more of the open world sandbox game. The PC gamers now want a piece of "Red Dead Redemption 2's" action, a piece that they were not able to get during the release of the first and second installment.
Take-Two Interactive games have yet to comment on the subject. However, 50,000 supporters will not be ignored by the company, especially if it involves one of their best-selling franchise. Although it's still going to be a long way before the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," this petition will surely give a glimpse of hope to PC gamers.
