After more than five years the Robertsons decided that "Duck Dynasty" Season 11 would be the final chapter of the "Duck Dynasty" series. Jase Robertson said in a Facebook video that they made the decision together as a family.
Los Angeles Times reported that with their goodbyes to all the supporters of "Duck Dynasty," the Robertsons also promised that this may be their last but this is their best season yet. "May God bless each and every one of you," said Si Robertson, brother of family patriarch Phil Robertson.
"Duck Dynasty" have been at one point, became cable TV's avidly watched series. The series premiered in 2012 and had its highest views of 12 million in 2013.
The story evolved around the very close and conservative family who runs sporting-goods companies in West Moore, Los Angeles. However, in December 2013 the show took a sudden fall when Phil Robertson said something in an interview that caused a negative impact on homosexuals and black people.
Phil Robertson was suspended for a week after saying that black people were happy "pre-civil" rights. Luckily A&E immediately reversed its decision due to the fans and family threat of abandoning the show.
Although Phil's comments were just in view of his personal judgments, he and his family eventually issued a public apology stating that he regret the foul language he used. In the end, the issue was resolved given that it was just an opinion and it was reportedly misinterpreted.
In the verge of their mutual family decision to end the show, Korie Robertson, 43, said that she is going to miss "Duck Dynasty." The series about the Louisiana family will run through Jan. 18 with a small break before seven final episodes, which are set to air between March 1 and April 12.
