Gerard Butler and his longtime girlfriend have officially gone their separate ways for good.
The 47-year-old actor has ended things with 39-year-old Morgan Brown, an interior designer, "a while ago." The former couple was in an on-and-off relationship for two years.
The reason why they broke up remains unclear. However, a source told Page Six that it was because Butler could not resist other women. "Girls throw themselves at him," the source said. "It's hard for him to constantly say, 'No. Get away from me. I have a girlfriend.'"
Butler and Brown, who is also a former model and the daughter of the late Coco Brown, a real estate developer in the Hamptons. Their last public outing was a few weeks ago when both left No Name, a renowned hotspot in Los Angeles.
Back in July, the former couple was spotted having their summer vacation on a romantic boat ride in Capri, Italy before jetting off to London in August, according to E! Online.
Butler and Brown made their relationship public in September 2014, after they were spotted doing some PDA during a trip to the beach in Malibu. They initially split in early 2016 before reuniting in April. During their time apart, he briefly hooked up with British singer Rita Ora at a hotel in West Hollywood.
An insider said that the Scot and the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer dined at the in-house restaurant of the hotel and drank wine. The onlooker added that Butler paid the bill, according to Us Weekly.
The Scottish actor had dated Romanian actress Madalina Diana Ghenea in 2013. He also admitted to sleeping with Brandi Glanville, an alum of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." "It was a one-afternooner, but it was fun," he said about Glanville.
Butler will soon start filming "Den of Thieves," which is about a man who gets caught in between two kinds of criminals.
