It has been a long wait for Apple devices users, and still, no new jailbreak tool has been released to the public. As Apple seeded its fourth iOS 10.2 beta to the developers, will the jailbreak teams be able to finally have one out to the public?
The latest iOS jailbreak tool available to the market is for iOS 9.3, and fans have long been waiting for the newest tool since Apple released iOS 10 in September. But despite several groups claiming that they have jailbroken the operating system, none has been released to the public.
Pangu reportedly has the iOS 10 jailbreak tool ready but is said to be waiting for the iOS 10.2 release before it launch the tool to the public, as Parent Herald previously learned. Apple has already rolled out the iOS 10.2 beta 4 on Monday to developers, so jailbreak fans are anticipating Pangu's tool.
The assumption is that Apple's release of iOS 10.2 beta test just before the holidays would work out in favor of Pangu, and other jailbreak teams for that matter. This is because the iOS 10.2 version is likely to stay longer because of the holidays, which would give the jailbreak teams an ample time to crack it and create the tool.
On the other hand, the iOS 10.2 beta 4 test could be another setback for jailbreak teams. According to MacRumors, Apple calls its iOS 10.2 as the "biggest release ever." Apple's fast and continuous release of updates with security patches have reportedly been a pain for jailbreak teams.
iOS 10.2 is set to bring several new features, including a new set of emojis, an overhauled Messenger app, a new TV app to replace the Videos app, and a revamped lock screen, among others. There are also new wallpapers, new Music sorting options, and new screen options.
