'The Leftovers' Season 3 Teaser, Spoilers & News: First Clip Shows Justin Theroux's Kevin Garvey Back In Police Force [PHOTO]

HBO has finally shown a short clip for "The Leftovers" Season 3. The ad apparently ran before the airing of last Sunday's "Westworld" penultimate episode. It was only a brief teaser along with the rest of HBO's 2017 shows. But it gave fans of "The Leftovers" just what they have been waiting for.

In the clip, Justin Theroux, as Kevin Garvey, is dressed in his police uniform. It hinted that the character is back to his original line of work as he leads a group of people who seem to be leaving town.

It's still unclear, however, if this scene is from Jarden, or an entirely different place, or a flashback to his previous life. The image was captured by one fan on Twitter, which makes it the unofficial first teaser of "The Leftovers" Season 3.

The exact premiere date of "The Leftovers" Season 3 remains unconfirmed pending HBO's official announcement. Fans are expecting, however, that the show will return on TV by spring 2017 at the latest.

Fans are also expecting a full tease release this December. The series officially wrapped up filming in September, HBO Binge reports.

Meanwhile, Jasmin Savoy Brown said that working on "The Leftovers" has been an "absolute dream." In an interview with Madifon By Fashion, the actress expressed her gratefulness for working on the show.

"Not only is everyone exceptionally talented, they are all kind, loving, giving, hilarious people," she said. "Nothing compares to that cast and they have my heart." She's set to do a TNT drama series next.

"The Leftovers" is from series creator Damon Lindelof and based on the book written by Tom Perrotta. The first season debuted in June 2014 and the second season aired in October the following year.
