It’s clear that “The Walking Dead” had opened season 7 of the TV show with a bang, but will it take them through the next season if they depend too much on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)? Here’s a recap and a review of “Sing Me A Song”?
First, Negan had captured Carl (Chandler Riggs), and this has been one of the pivotal encounters in the show. The first question the fans are asking is, what’s Negan got to do with Carl?
The most common answer is Negan’s going to recruit Carl. Of course, he needs to brainwash him first, but it will be Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) ultimate humiliation if this happens, The Telegraph reports.
However, the great thing about the latest episode is that the writers threw in subplots instead of just focusing on one. Here, the other plot involved Daryl (Norman Reedus). It seems that “The Walking Dead” fans seems to love the character more.
If Negan did slip the key to Daryl, then there’s a chance that he’s testing his loyalty. Will Daryl submit to Negan in the upcoming episodes? "TWD" fans will have to find out.
Also, the episode sees Rick and Aaron (Ross Marquand) step into a camp as they go out scavenging. They’re both lucky and unlucky as first, they found the supply, second, it’s in the middle of a lake surrounded by zombies, Forbes recaps.
There may have been at least six subplots in this episode, but some report that “The Walking Dead” wouldn’t be the same without Negan. It’s agreeable to the extent that viewers may get accustomed to seeing him lead most of the story line.
So, what will happen to “The Walking Dead” season 7 and other seasons, though Morgan had already confirmed he'd be in the next two season if he’ll die? It’s clear that this will come in the show sooner or later.
“The Walking Dead” season 7 episode 8, titled “Hearts Still Beating” will air on Dec. 11 at 9 p.m.
