Amazon Prime News & Updates: ‘Lost in Oz: Extended Adventure’

‘Tis the season to enjoy streaming new shows for kids, such as Amazon’s original special for kids, “Lost in Oz: Extended Version.” The special premieres this December, just in time for the holidays.

The Amazon original is based on the books written by L. Frank Baum, titled “Oz.” the animated adventure and comedy show was the first part of the summer of 2015 Amazon Studio. During this time, the show earned an average rating of 4.9 stars.

The show follows the stories of Dorothy; she’s voiced by Ashley Boettcher. Dorothy is 12 years old and discovers that her mother had traveled to a magical land through her journal. Her door to the magical land was a tornado which brought her, their Kansa home, and she does to Oz, as reported by Animation Magazine.

The show then follows Dorothy’s quest for her to go back to her home. To do this, she must collect all the elements with magic in Oz. However, she came in Oz at the wrong time as the land has been experiencing magical difficulties.

“Lost in Oz: Extended Version” also casts friends for Dorothy her dog Toto. She’ll meet Wes, voiced by Nika Futterman, and Ojo, voiced by Jorge Diaz.

The team finds the elements, but eventually concludes that the only way Dorothy can get back home is for her to find an elusive witch. She is considered as the most powerful witch in Oz, for now, and her name is Glinda.

This is one of the most told stories of all times, but it’s also one of the favorites of almost everyone. That’s why it’s clear that Amazon has worked with Polygon to produce one of the best animated show and that is “Lost in Oz: Extended Version," Variety reports.
