Microsoft Surface Pro 5 News And Updates: 6 Important Things Users Are Expecting From The Pro 5

The highly anticipated and certainly much talked about Microsoft Surface Pro 5 still has not announced its official release date. Still, expectant users are not shy in dishing out their expectations.

Firstly, many believe that the launch is set for the spring of 2017. It can be recalled that the Pro 4 was launched in Oct. 2015, so the Pro 5 is likely to follow the same route.

Secondly, the specs. It is said that the Surface Pro 5 will have an updated Surface Pen, a stylus included as a part of the Surface Pro bundles. Users anticipate a rechargeable battery considering that the current Surface Pens currently run on AAAA battery only.

Another anticipated upgrade is the possibility of a sixth generation processor, which is the Skylake chip. However, others are also expecting that a higher generation chip will be used, which is currently rumored as the Kaby Lake.

As for the screen, it is also expected to have 2k or a 4k screen. Prices for the Surface Pro 5 will then have to consider the screens and a possible upgrade on the RAM. It’s expected to start at 16GB, as reported by PCAdvisor.

Also, users are expecting to have a bigger screen considering that the Pro 4 only has 13.3 inches. Many users, especially graphic designers and gamers, are clamoring for a larger display.

Users also want to see a longer battery life for the upcoming Surface Pro. The Pro 4 is at five hours and 15 minutes usage, and users are expecting the Pro 5 to have a seven to nine hours battery life, as reported by Tech Radar.

Lastly, Surface Pro 5 is expected to embrace the USB technology. One or preferably two versatile ports will undoubtedly increase the product line’s advantage among its competitors, especially Apple's MacBook Pro.
