"The Blacklist" Season 4 Episode 8, midseason finale, seemed to have given fans of the NBC series a major revelation by Raymond Reddington (James Spader) to Liz Keen (Megan Boone). However given results of confirmation attempts by "The Blacklist" followers the midseason finale, "Dr. Adrian Shaw," may be akin to a red herring. EP Jon Bokenkamp highlighted that fans may be digging up the "wrong" details about Liz Keen and Red.
Entertainment Weekly spoke with Jon Bokenkamp about the bombshells that closed off the Season 4 midseason finale. Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) is no relation to Liz Keen. Instead, "The Blacklist" Season 4 Episode 8 revealed that Alexander Kirk's wife Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) had an affair with Raymond Reddington.
Raymond Reddington supposedly owned up to Alexander Kirk about fathering Liz Keen, while the Blacklister also known as Constantin Rostov tortured Red. Jon Bokenkamp was interestingly elusive and skilfully dodged giving straight "Yes" or "No" answers. Instead of confirming that Raymond Reddington had been telling the truth that Liz Keen is his biological daughter, "The Blacklist" EP pointed out that viewers should instead figure out why Megan Boone's character is important to Red.
"The Blacklist" Season 4 winter finale is a tricky set up for the coming midseason premiere on Jan 5, 2017. Will "The Blacklist" Season 4 get any darker? Quite possibly, yes, as Parent Herald earlier cited revelation of Jon Bokenkamp to Digital Trends that Season 4 will have betrayals and an emotional rollercoaster in store.
Megan Boone tells The New Indian Express that plentiful violence and mystery will continue to be on the menu in "The Blacklist" Season 4 for Liz Keen and Raymond Reddington. So much so that unraveling these mythologies will be a meaty aspect of series. For the time being, Alexander Kirk is definitely gone, Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) may resurface and Katarina Rostova is anticipated to shake things up as "The Blacklist" Season 4 continues.
