"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is soldiering on despite weaker ratings and speculations have tagged Sasha (Sonequa Martin) and Paul Rovia - Jesus (Tom Payne) as the next TWD power couple. Will Sasha and Jesus really follow in the footsteps of Richonne - Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira)? Or perhaps Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun)?
Digital Spy cites a conversation between The Huffigton Post and Tom Payne, who assured that Paul Rovia on TV will align with Jesus in "The Walking Dead" comic book canon by creator Robert Kirkman. This means TWD will allow Sasha time to mourn Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), who was eliminated by Season 7 villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
However, Jesus may not even be around long enough in "The Walking Dead" TV series to hook up with anyone. TWD fans saw Jesus climb onto The Saviors' truck to investigate the camp where Negan is headquartered. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 5 ("Go Getters") revealed that Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) is also in the same enemy truck into which Jesus snuck.
At the moment TWD fans are not only worried about Jesus but also Carl Grimes, who may not necessarily last as long as his "The Walking Dead" comic book counterparts. However, Tom Payne pointed out that Carl Grimes is safe from elimination.
So much that despite buzz on Chandler Riggs' university plans and completed contract, Tom Payne said that Carl Grimes may continue to be the final survivor in "The Walking Dead" series. Survivors or not Jesus, Carl Grimes and the rest of the TWD cast will have major problems for a longer period from Negan, who had been confirmed to still be around until "The Walking Dead" Season 8.
AMC airs "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 7 "Sing Me A Song" on Dec 4 and the midseason finale "Hearts Still Beating" on Dec 11. Do you think "The Walking Dead" Season 7 midseason finale will have a casualty in its cliffhanger? If so, which TWD cast is your bet?
