One of 2017's most anticipated game, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will have Amiibo support. Amiibo was able to produce three varieties of Link and a Wind Waker version of Zelda.
One of the most eye-catching character among the selection is the 8bit version of Link. The Legend of Zelda Amiibo figurines will give the player daily rewards like the 8-bit version of Link will reward you with a random number of barrels. You might find rupees inside, while the Ocarina of Time version of Link will award the player random amount of meat, the Toon version of Link will share random amounts of fish and the wind waker Zelda will reward the player a random selection of Plants. Amiibo falls under the "toy to life" genre which incorporates action figures different character and models of their vehicles. The toy to life market is currently dominated by four major brands, "Nintendo Amiibo," "Lego Dimensions," "Disney Infinity," and "Skylanders: Superchargers. The innovation of the toys to life genre was started by Mattel with the "U.B. Funkeys" which was discontinued in 2010. "The Skylanders" series took over what U.B.Funkeys started after a year. The Disney Infinity game pack made its debut in 2013 followed by the Amiibo in 2014 and on 2015, Lego Dimensions is jumped into the toys to life market.
Amiibo is the only one among the four that did not include the so-called portal wherein the action figures are placed in order to activate them. Amiibo utilizes the Wii-U game pad's NFC feature to activate the characters.
