Fans of the popular novel series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," are still waiting for the release date of its sixth book, "Winds of Winter." While there are no concrete details as to when the book will be available, there is a continuous buzz online on what to expect in the anticipated book.
According to iDigitalTimes, the first four books of the series were about politics, war and personal relationships. However, the last three books will not be going with the same theme, but these threads will still be visible. The report suggests that, The Others, also known as the White Walkers, are the real antagonists in the series.
At the end of the fifth book, "A Dance with Dragons" and in the last episode of "Game of Thrones" season five, the Night's Watch was having difficulties with leadership after Jon Snow was elected as the Lord Commander. Some members of the Night's Watch did not agree with Snow's decision to become allies with the wildlings, and they stabbed him to death. Now that Snow is gone, the wall might fall into the hands of the White Walkers, according to News Everyday.
The White Walkers are a threat to Westeros, and to pose great agony and danger, it is necessary for them to progress. There should be a great risk of destroying humanity and never ending Long Nights. The best way to accomplish this is to break the wall because without the protective walls the menace would be more urgent and immediate.
There are theories claiming that Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons will rescue Westeros or at least die trying. Although the threat of the White Walkers to Westeros is possible, celebrity author George RR Martin revealed that he doesn't want an apocalyptic ending, but prefers a "bittersweet" one similar to "The Lord of the Rings."
On the other hand, while many are still drooling to get a copy of the much-anticipated book, "Winds of Winter," Martin already disclosed the title of the next book and it will be "A Dream of Spring," Yibada has learned.
In a previous interview, three years ago, Martin was considering to name his seventh book, "Time of Wolves" but later on changed his mind, Hypable reports. The famous author stressed that his book is unpredictable, and everybody can die, unlike other books where a hero is safe. "That's not the way in real life and I want to be realistic in my books, so no one is safe in the books," he said. The death of the crowd favorite character Jon Snow could be among the realistic turn of events for Martin.
"Winds of Winter" will be released before "Game of Thrones" season six.
