"New" and "better" are adjectives that could prove to be a whole lot in the tech market. Companies use these to hype upcoming products to the extent that consumers tend to dream what it will be when it comes out. Unfortunately, not all those that are new are entirely different.
One source quoted Japanese Apple blog Mac Otakara's report that Cupertino's second iteration to the iPhone 7, the aptly named iPhone 7S will retain the design of its predecessor. Oddly so, Apple's previous models including the iPhone 4 and 4S had the same predicament, only to don the S variant with the company's then novel mobile assistant, Siri.
Mac Otakara's Taiwanese source also indicated that alongside the iPhone 7S, an iPhone 7S Plus will also be released in 2017, and that the update will not be in the design, but what's on the inside. They added that there will be a "change in CPU", which means that previous rumors about Apple incorporating an A11 chip is coming in true form. However, early predictions of acclaimed Apple savant Ming-Chi Kuo about a "glass chassis design with integrated wireless charging" feature are being countered by the blog, but it doesn't rule out future models of the iPhone.
But as for Kou and other Apple followers, there is also one buzz that pits Apple to be designing a "third model" of the iPhone 7. According to Apple Insider, a "special edition variant" will be announced to complement the existing models, and will feature a "5.1 or 5.2inch OLED display" with the aforementioned glass casing, wireless charging technology, an "invisible" Home Button and "other exotic technologies. Again, this counters a previous claim that Apple is planning to remove the iconic Home Button in their future devices.
There is also news about a red iPhone 7S and 7S circulating around the Highway. If this is true, the new color variant will go together with the traditional Black, Jet Black, Silver and Rose Gold flavors of the Smartphone.
